DPPI SEE Disaster Management Training Programme (DMTP)
The Program consists of workshops, seminars, training courses and conferences. The events are hosted and organized by the DPPI SEE member countries. Hosting an event is on a voluntary basis. Financing of the DMTP activities is normally shared between the host country and the DPPI SEE budget.
The purpose of the DMTP is to enhance disaster preparedness and prevention through disaster management education and training as well as to train and practice disaster response, with the aim of: strengthening cooperation among all participants in protection and rescue activities, harmonizing the activities of the participants in order to eliminate possible failures and promoting the understanding of national and international principles related to disaster management.
DMTP Annual Work Plans represent a consolidated set of activities proposed by the DPPI SEE member countries for each upcoming year. The proposals are presented, discussed and agreed upon by the DMTP Steering group at the DPPI SEE regional meeting autumn sessions.
